Congratulations, Chorus! After a semester filled with hard work and practice, the Findley Oaks 4th and 5th Grade Chorus performed two wonderful concerts yesterday. First, they performed for their Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd grade schoolmates and teachers in the morning. Then, they performed for a standing-room only crowd of parents and friends last night. The evening was made special thanks to parent volunteer Heidi Rudnick with two cakes for the students to enjoy to celebrate their hard work. Great job, Chorus!
![]() Today was our first Chorus rehearsal of the year! As of right now, there are 95 students who have joined the Chorus. I am so excited about the potential of this group. With 95 students, we should be able to make some beautiful music! Thank you to all the 4th and 5th graders who are joining us this year. I hope you are as excited as I am! Remember, rehearsals are Wednesdays from 2:45-3:45 p.m., and our Winter concert is on December 12, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Findley Oaks Cafeteria. Last night, the Findley Oaks 4th and 5th grade Chorus opened the Gwinnett Braves game with an a cappella performance of the National Anthem. Our schedule was changed at the last minute due to a rain delay from the day before, so the Chorus sang in between two double-header games. Thank you to all the friends, family, and staff who made it out to the game to see the Chorus sing, I hope you enjoyed the evening! The Gwinnett Braves won the second game 5-2! Go G-Braves!
Congratulations to the Findley Oaks 4th and 5th grade Chorus students on two outstanding concerts yesterday!
First, the Chorus performed for their 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classmates and teachers at the in-school concert yesterday morning at 8am. The concert went very well, and the audience also did a great job listening! Then, the Chorus performed a second time at 6:30 last night for our friends and families. All four songs on the program were sung beautifully! Kudos especially to our four soloists: Rachel, Riyaq, Janice, and Hannah! And lastly, thank you to Mrs. Teresa Palmer for your wonderful piano accompaniment. It is always a pleasure to hear you play, and the singers sound even better with your help! |
