Last night our 2nd graders performed an "informance" for family and friends to show off their special musical skills they learned this year. We performed some of our favorite songs, such as "Lucy Locket" and "Riddle Ree," as well as a new song we learned just for this performance, and we also showed off our awesome solfege singing skills! The performance was great, congratulations 2nd grade!! Thank you also to 2nd grade teachers for supporting your students!!

Last night the entire Findley Oaks third grade class performed a musical journey to Africa for a standing-room only audience. This annual performance is a part of a larger event at Findley Oaks called International/Fine Arts night. It is a night where every student in the entire school has a chance to display artwork they have created throughout the year. Meanwhile, the gym hosts an "international village," with families and community members displaying clothing, toys, games, and other information from their native countries. The third grade performance was the bridge connecting these two events. I am very proud of these students for their wonderful performance and hard work! Great job, third grade!!
Congratulations, Chorus! After a semester filled with hard work and practice, the Findley Oaks 4th and 5th Grade Chorus performed two wonderful concerts yesterday. First, they performed for their Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd grade schoolmates and teachers in the morning. Then, they performed for a standing-room only crowd of parents and friends last night. The evening was made special thanks to parent volunteer Heidi Rudnick with two cakes for the students to enjoy to celebrate their hard work. Great job, Chorus!
Last night, the Findley Oaks 4th and 5th grade Chorus opened the Gwinnett Braves game with an a cappella performance of the National Anthem. Our schedule was changed at the last minute due to a rain delay from the day before, so the Chorus sang in between two double-header games. Thank you to all the friends, family, and staff who made it out to the game to see the Chorus sing, I hope you enjoyed the evening! The Gwinnett Braves won the second game 5-2! Go G-Braves!
Congratulations to the Findley Oaks 4th and 5th grade Chorus students on two outstanding concerts yesterday!
First, the Chorus performed for their 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classmates and teachers at the in-school concert yesterday morning at 8am. The concert went very well, and the audience also did a great job listening! Then, the Chorus performed a second time at 6:30 last night for our friends and families. All four songs on the program were sung beautifully! Kudos especially to our four soloists: Rachel, Riyaq, Janice, and Hannah! And lastly, thank you to Mrs. Teresa Palmer for your wonderful piano accompaniment. It is always a pleasure to hear you play, and the singers sound even better with your help! Last night, Findley Oaks held its first-ever 2nd grade "Informance" for our parents and the PTA. These students sang songs, played instruments, moved to the music, and even performed a folk dance! Congratulations to the 2nd grade students on a wonderful performance! Pictures coming soon!
